"The Department appreciates the frustration that has been caused by not having the Docee Fence in operation this season...
"The Department is committed to resolving the issues [between the DFO and GNN]....
"However, if issues with the operation of the Docee fence continue, [in 2018+] the Department is prepared to consider alternate methods of assessing in-season sockeye abundance in Smith's Inlet, such as a test fishery...
