• Union members over 60 years of age,
  • who have retired from the industry and
  • who have been members in good standing in the Union
  • for a period of 10 years prior to retirement,


    may, upon application to the General Executive        .......Board of the Union, be granted Honourary  .......Membership. 

Honourary members shall have full voice and vote in the Union and maintain their right to Union benefits.

Shoreworker Honourary Members are covered by the Shoreworkers ' Benefit Fund retirement benefits

Tendermen and Fishermen Honourary Memberscan be covered by the United Fishermen's Benefit Fund.

 To maintain full rights to your Union benefits your annual dues in the amount of $36 must be paid.

The Union will send you a letter granting you Honourary Membership and letting you know when your first $36 annual dues payment should be made.

Your annual dues should be paid each April  after your first payment.
